About Me

I have always had a love of ships and boats, and on leaving school I helped work on the restoration of the Cutty Sark, before studying boat design and production at Falmouth Marine School. Here I learned the principles of naval architecture as well as composite materials.

On leaving Falmouth Marine School I studied marine engineering at Warsash Maritime Academy as part of a cadetship. I then spent over a decade working in the merchant navy in every continent and on a variety of ships, this includes bulk carriers, cruise ships, research vessels, and ferries. This experience has given me a wide breadth of knowledge with systems including main engines, generators, propulsion systems including diesel-electric, fire systems, potable water production and treatment, bilge management, sewage, and air conditioning and refrigeration.

After being made redundant from a well known ferry company I decided to start my own company, focusing on small craft.  I trained as a BSS examiner and have also been providing engineering services ever since.

Services I offer include marine engineering, Boat Safety Scheme examinations, refrigeration and air conditioning and more. Please email or call for further information
